The Newport Beach Sunrise Rotary Club held its annual fundraiser at the Village Crean overlooking Upper Newport Bay on Saturday, August 23, 2008.

About 185 guests attended and the event, including live and silent auctions, raised about $50,000 to support the Club's projects in the community. 100% of funds raised go to our charitable projects.

The Newport Beach Sunrise Rotary club has been dedicated to education for 25 years. We have worked with the Back Bay High School, providing tutoring, books, technology, and awarding academic scholarships to graduating seniors.

Our organization also contributes time and funding to the Newport Sea Base and Explorer Scouts providing educational outreach and vocational opportunities, the "Museum on Wheels" program conducted at local elementary schools, Newport-Mesa ProLiteracy working with families in conjunction with the Newport Beach Public Library, and many others (a complete list is available upon request).
